The Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is probably one of the easiest as well as the ultimate short trek in the Annapurna Sanctuary. How to get there?

The 1.5 hours of scenic bus journey drops you off at Nayapool from the most beautiful city of Nepal, Pokhara. From Nayapool, travelers should hike the hilly periphery of the Annapurna region along the bank of Modi Khola. The forested-trail of the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek follows tracks densely covered with Rhododendron, the national flower of Nepal. 

Locals, herds of mules carrying supplies, livestock, internal tourists are what one will encounter while walking in this region. Witnessing such type of traffic anyone’s heart will render as being a part of one of them. Then travelers proceed through the uphill trek to Ulleri. Ghandruk is more popular for observing, participating in the cultural and traditional practices bestowed by the inhabitants. The trek will terminate at Nayapul after you descend to get a bus back to Pokhara.

Holiday Itinerary

  • DAY - 1
    Arrival in Kathmandu

    Upon your arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport, you will be welcomed by a delegate from Mantra Adventure who will drop you off at your lodging. At night an appreciated supper will be facilitated by Mantra Adventure. Overnight in Kathmandu.

  • DAY - 2
    Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara(823m)

    You will drive by the wonderful waterways, Trisuli and marsyangdi which are exceptionally prominent for boating as well. Pokhara is extremely famous for the all encompassing perspective of superb Himalayas, for example, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre in the north, Dhaulagiri in the west, Lamjung Himal and Manaslu in the east. Following 7 hours of drive, you will land at Pokahara, the city of lakes to explore caves, lakes, view points, and Buddhist and Hindus sanctuaries. You can make the most of your night meandering on lake sides. Overnight at a lodging.

  • DAY - 3
    Drive to Nayapul (1025m) and trek to Ulleri(2070m)

    Our trek begins at Nayapul an expansive town with many shops and tea houses following an hour drive on a private vehicle from Pokhara. We begin strolling from Birethanti and subsequent to rising steeply for the initial 2 hours and afterward rise delicately to reach at Ulleri, an extensive Magar town at a height of 2,070m. Overnight at visitor house.

  • DAY - 4
    Trek from Ulleri to Ghorapani(2860m)

    This way gives us stunning perspectives of Machhapuchhare or Fish Tail (6997m.), Hiunchuli (6441m.), and the excellent Annapurna (7219m) south in transit. The trail is very simple and we pass backwoods and rhododendron trees while in transit to Ghorepani. Overnight at visitor house.

  • DAY - 5
    Hike to Poon Hill(3210m) & trek to Tadapani(2630m)

    A hour early morning climb to Poon Hill (3232m.) offers you the dawn over the majestic Himalayas. We climb down to Ghorepani and after a hot breakfast at Lodge and trek to Tadapani (2650 m.). Most piece of the trail we trek through the vivid wilderness of pine and rhododendron trees. Overnight at a guesthouse.

  • DAY - 6
    Trek to Ghandruk(1940m)

    Today, the trail drops through timberlands to Ghandruk, it is simple trekking by dropping tenderly completely through rhododendron, oak and different sorts of thick woods with the peeping hints of fowls .This is one of the prevalent goals ridiculous darlings. Ghandruk is a major Gurung town and the home to numerous Gorkha troopers. Due to its delightful mountain sees its one of prominent goals for trekkers. We will investigate the Gurung town in this day.   • DAY - 7
    Trek to Birethanti(1025m), and drive to Pokhara

  • DAY - 8
    Drive back to Kathmandu and overnight at inn
